Co-Founder at Wira’s Playroom
Reshma Wijaya
Helping children feel understood and families feel supported.
Reshma’s commitment to inclusive education is personal. Her experience of finding support for her daughter gave her an understanding of the hopes and questions that parents bring when choosing a learning environment.
Understanding a parent’s hopes
That experience informs her work at Wira’s Playroom. Families need space to share what they know about their children, ask questions, and feel heard. Children need adults who take the time to understand how they learn.
An approach shaped around the child
As Co-Founder, Reshma worked with Sara to shape Wira’s Playroom’s educational approach. Her background in special education, therapeutic play, and parent coaching brings practical experience to their shared vision for a learning home in Kemang.
The approach begins with the individual child. Strengths, interests, developmental needs, and everyday experiences help guide meaningful next steps. Learning through play sits alongside academic, social, emotional, and practical development, with relevant therapeutic support connected to the child’s learning.
Growing together
Partnership with families is central to Wira’s Playroom. Parents bring knowledge of their child’s daily life. Educators and therapists contribute their observations and experience. Together, they can build a fuller picture of what helps a child participate and grow.
Reshma’s role in shaping this approach connects professional knowledge with a parent’s perspective. Her focus is to make learning personal, respect each child’s pace, and help families feel supported along the way.
